Midway through the script (and 3D-Coat)

We hit our halfway mark for the script writing process. It’s coming along!

We would also like to announce that when counting the number of completed chapters one of us has to remove their shoes. Obviously we will need to change our methodology once we pass 40 chapters, and then once again when we pass 42 chapters, but for now this is working for us.

Also of note is that we added an additional tool to our arsenal. 3D-Coat is a voxel sculpting program that I’ll be using more extensively once the script is done and working full-time on character design. Both Adam and myself purchased it while it was on sale (and it works in Linux now too).

Clay, whether physical or virtual, is a great way to visualize your characters as you design them. I do have a soft spot for Super Sculpey which has served me well in the past, but you have to admit that voxel sculpting is just cool! Not to mention that it’s mess free and very forgiving (as digital art always is). I plan on using it for quite a few things concept art related. A lot of our 3D mockups will be a lot easier to put together with this tool.
