After a fantastic walk through on the principles of topology with Adam, I can see clearer how “winging it” really does work. Figure drawing was a good analogy too. It seems to me that the same principles apply to almost any creative endeavor or medium. It’s always a fluid process, starting from a concept that slowly matures into something often worlds different, but that couldn’t have been realized without the original idea. That’s what makes art so exciting!
