After a fantastic walk through on the principles of topology with Adam, I can see clearer how "winging it" really does work. Figure drawing was a good analogy too. It seems to me that the same principles apply to almost any creative endeavor or medium. It's always a fluid process, starting from a concept that slowly matures into something often worlds different, but that couldn't have been realized without the original idea. That's what makes art so exciting! Oh, just now read your responses to my last comment.
